I have been designing and making grips for the 1911 and it's many clones since 2003. I have always marketed my products thru others, but am going to go direct now. My products, tho they have been marketed under other names than mine, Have been used and sold by The FBI, Brownells, Midway USA, NRA, Wilson Combat, etc to name a few. I started making gun grips in the spring of 2003. Larry Davidson had a 3D CAD CAM program and I expressed a desire to learn 3D. I'd already been going 2D for
several years. He graciously offered to get me started if I could come to TX and spend a couple of days. I accepted and while I was learning he taught me to draw
on a pair of gun grips he was making. I came home and practiced my drawing on those grips. I made a few pair to check my drawing against the actual thing and
decided they had commercial possibilities. I called Larry and asked his permission to use that first design. He said yes and gave me that first design. I had it copyrighted and own the copyrights to the grip I call "The Original". Any other designs you seee here are mine and mine alone and I hold the copyrights.
